ABOUT SYDNEY
I have been providing Woodcock Johnson IV Achievement testing to students for over 7 years. I have a Master’s Degree in Counseling and have worked with children and families for the past 27 years. Through this experience I have taken a strong interest in learning how children learn. I have attended numerous school and IEP (Individualized Education Plan) meetings in the past 27 years and have read and been involved in numerous educational evaluations. Because of this interest I have become an administrator of the Woodcock/Johnson IV Achievement test.
I have trained and mentored with Misty Spinelli with Growing Scholars for the past 7 years. I have a special love and appreciation for homeschool families and their search for their children's education.
To schedule a test with me please fill out the form under the "Contact" tab or call at 704-663-6243.

-
Advanced students
-
Students who do not normally score average in all subjects
There are several tests available which will meet the North Carolina state requirement for annual testing for home schoolers, so why choose the Woodcock-Johnson test?
The WJIV is administered by a professional in a quick and timely manner. Sydney uses no timed portions of the test, so there is no stress related to speed or performance. Most other tests take several hours and are usually best done over a few days. Sydney gives you immediate scoring and goes over the meaning of each grade equivalent, age equivalent, and percentile ranking score; other tests send results with little or no explanation weeks after testing.
It takes approximately 1.5 hours for the student to take the test. Immediately following the test Sydney meets with the parents, gives them the complete scores and goes over the results, explaining all of the scores, delving into any areas of strengths and weaknesses.
